This is not my people
This is not my tribe
There is some darkness behind
The way they show up
They come with weird traditions
When ours are still not back
I feel the protector
Of this land
Someone please explain to me
What they are here to
Get done
What are the spells
Casted onto
This pristine mountain
Why are they not sharing openly
Their recipe
From the start
In the midst of the swirl
I learnt to relax
I listened with shame
The dialogue in my head
I then leaned
Into trust
As I observed something special
In their approach
They honoured the land
They honoured the past
They honoured the spirits
Of this piece of land
The lost traditions
The witches burnt
The tongue so old
No one knows
Where it comes from
We entered the Earth together
We were all reborn
As twins
As family
From the same mum
The same dad
In a ritual
United and committed
To shift our lives
Into new
Trajectories
As the days passed by
Our energies filled up
With every beat of the drum
With every song of the elders
The joy of the kids
The rain that came by
The sun that made us laugh
We learnt to say sorry
In community
Sorry to the land
We learnt to say thank you
Thank you for everything you've done
We remember our ancestors
That live in us
We remembered our purpose
To walk on this land
Society calls
"Dirt" to Soil
Then, they invite:
Come back to "dirt"
Dress your brightest dress
And come inside
Mother Earth
Come,
Sweat,
Feel the fire of the stones
Feel the water dripping
From your brothers' throats
We are one
We share the water
Let it run
Water in
Water out
There are no showers
The lessons
Accumulate in our skin
For days
To come
Remember
The flowery smell
Of your natural scent
Sterile
Is just a fancy name
Of the controlling mind
The way to restore health
Is simply,
To listen
To let it be
To go in
Darkness turned into sunshine
People's eyes lightened up
As the storms journeyed away
The rainbow showed up
The bell rings
Casted the evils out
The prayers worked
We reunited
With Mother Earth
I'm not from this tribe
I'm not from this blue rock
But I am
Paradoxically
From this land
And I came here
To protect Her
After 15 years
Studying Her
Her oceans
Her ice fields
The history
On her skin
These people are my siblings
They came to help me
Reunite
With my mum
I'm forever grateful
To the sky above
To send me family
With great wisdom
To finally land
To the old man
With the cosmic vision
To offer a hand
For generations to come
To create this energy field
Near where I was first born
For the millennial oak tree
That rooted for us
The eagles that overview us
The grasshoppers
And mycelium
That bridge our continents
And spiders
Who weaved the spirits
Below our feet
So that this all
Could happen
In sacred time
